Key detail Mechanical key switches for maximum comfort and speed. Mac users who crave the feel of Apple's quality keyboards of old will love this keyboard. The Tactile Pro Keyboard uses high-quality Alps mechanical keyswitches, with enhanced tactile feedback for greater comfort and faster typing speeds.
Special characters and symbols at your fingertips. No need to launch another application to find that special symbol. For quick and easy reference, the Tactile Pro's key caps are clearly labeled with the international characters, accents, punctuation, and currency symbols that are available by holding down the Option or Shift+Option keys.
Modern look and features. With standard Eject and Volume control keys, the Tactile Pro keyboard has been carefully designed to match the look and features of Apple's Pro Keyboard. It will look as good on your desk as your Mac does.
2-port USB hub. For quickly attaching USB peripherals, nothing beats the convenience of an in-keyboard USB hub. No more reaching through the tangle of wires behind your computer to download photos from your digital camera. Just plug it into the keyboard and you're ready to go. Works great with MP3 players, keyring hard drives, joysticks, and mice too.

Great keyboard!
I had been using an Apple aluminum keyboard for a long time, and never really had a problem with it, but mechanical is much better%u2014and for more than just gaming. My typing tends to be more accurate and just generally faster, since each keystroke gives me better feedback.
This is probably one of the best Mac mechanical keyboards available right now, if only because it has a complete set of the current Apple 'blessed' keys except F19. Everything else is 1:1 with the official Apple keyboard, including fn, media control keys, eject, etc. On top of that, the keys are placed really well. I was able to dive into gaming immediately, and never had to fish for the modifier keys%u2014or anything else%u2014under my hands. It flows really well.
The noise level of this keyboard is mighty, however. Beware. It's the kind of noise to which the keyboard's primary user will grow accustomed, but I still feel the need to worry about the people around me. It also wakes up my sleeping cat, though I'm sure he'll get used to it eventually.
I considered the Quiet Pro version of this keyboard from Matias, but stuck with the Tactile Pro for two reasons. First, I wasn't sure how loud this one would be. Second, the Mac version of the Quiet Pro is ugly. I mean Fugly with a capital F. The matte silver painted body is awful. I'm not sure if it's supposed to match the aluminum on some current Macs, but it wouldn't match a Mac Pro or anything else I have in my studio. Butch vig vocals crack. The white Tactile Pro doesn't really match, either, but at least it looks nice. The sad thing is that the PC version of the Quiet Pro, in all gloss black, is beautiful. I wish they'd kill the silver body and make them both all-black. Then I'd recommend the Mac Quiet Pro 100%. As it is now, I'd say it's a toss-up, depending on your noise tolerance, and that of those around you.
Having grown accustomed to the noise and feel, I definitely wouldn't go back to flat. I'll just pour out a 40 ouncer for that F19 key, wherever it is now.Tango pcb 2.21 download pc.
